Architectural Review Committee (ARC)
The Architectural Control Committee is responsible for maintaining the community’s property values. Members of this committee serve the community by approving Modification Requests for exterior home projects. This includes changes, additions, or improvements to landscaping, fencing, painting, storage buildings, gazebos, etc. Committee members will review design applications from homeowners and evaluate compliance with the architectural guidelines stated in the governing documents. All exterior improvements to the lot or main dwelling must be approved by the ARC.
Fundraiser Committee
This committee will plan and implement fundraising ideas to generate extra revenue/ additional income needed for equipment, picnic tables, special projects, etc.
Neighborhood Watch/Crime Prevention /Safety Committee
The safety committee helps to improve the security of the community. Committee members will patrol the neighborhood to ensure that safety and security standards are being met. The safety committee may also have a neighborhood watch program to prevent crime and illegal activity in the community as well as keep residents safe. This committee will also contact the local authorities regarding any extra patrols needed or suspicious activities going on in the community.
Newsletter/Communication Committee
The Communications Committee ensures that residents are always informed when it comes to community news or updates. Committee members are responsible for the quarterly community newsletters and for posting information on the communication boards located at each entrance of the subdivisions.
Pool House Committee
This committee will be responsible for ensuring the contractors hired for pool maintenance and clubhouse upkeep are performing all duties to the community’s homeowner association standards and fulfilling their contract responsibilities. This committee will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the pool and clubhouse.
Social Hospitality Committee
The Social committee oversees planning community events and making sure that homeowners can meet their neighbors. For instance, the committee will help in the planning of Neighborhood Garage Sales, Ice Cream and BBQ Cookout Socials, Card Tournament Game Nights, Outdoor Movie Nights, Community Pool Parties, Fall Festivals, Book and Trivia Clubs with Contests, Walking Clubs, Welcome Party for New Residents, Aerobics, Yoga, Dance and Fitness Classes, Sports Tournaments, Video and Board Game Tournaments, Community Gardens, Neighborhood Karaoke Contests, Bingo Nights, Car Wash Fundraisers, Holiday Parties, Summer Festival and much more.
Welcome Committee
This committee will be responsible for greeting new homeowners. They will contact new homeowners with a welcome packet that contains valuable information about our community.
Yard of the Month Committee
The Beautification Committee will award a monthly winner during the months of April through September for landscaping; October through December (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) for holiday decorations, and February and March for porch appearance. Each monthly winner will receive recognition on the HOA’s website and in the HOA’s newsletter. The winner will also have the honor of displaying the official “Shores Yard of the Month” yard sign that identifies their property as the Yard of the Month winner.
Youth Committee
This committee is responsible for implementing monthly activities for our youth in the community.
Special Task Force for Major projects
Special Task Force committees are formed to address short-term or specific issues. They are temporary committees and exist to serve certain community matters. For example, to oversee the new playground or Tennis Courts project, Street Lights needed in Lakeshores, the front entrances of each subdivision, the Dredging of the Lake project & much more. The committee will disband following the completion of each project.
